November is the Time to Set those Goals

We have one less hour of day light and the temps continue to get colder. On top of this, we are heading into the holidays. Now is the best time to get ahead and set those goals. These goals should be developed with the intention of maintaining the cardio and strength fitness you have gained over the summer months in order to reach the level of fitness you want to achieve by next summer. I always seem to add 5–10 lbs during the winter, only to find that I am spending most of my time in March thru May working the extra weight off. Once the weight is off I can actually train and reach my personal competition goals. Don’t let weight gain slow down your progress.

So here are some tips as you establish goals:

1) List three goals for fitness.

2) Rate each of these goals on SMART (Specificity, measurability, active planning, realism, and timeliness).

3) Based on the above goals what are your potential goal setting strengths and weaknesses?

4) Ensure your goals can be measured every four weeks.

For the month of November 2019, I will be offering a free 30 minute consultation to help you establish your goals. Please email me or give me a call to schedule a time.

To Good Health!
